Cool Laser

Overview

The Cool Laser treatment is not based on heat development but on photochemical and photobiological effects on cells and tissue. When the laser radiates the adipocytes (adipocytes are present in the adipose tissue and store energy as fat) the contents of the cells move out of the cell membrane and become liquefied and are easily removed from the body. The breakdown of the fat stored inside the fat cells is known as lipolysis.

How many treatments will I need?

To see maximum results a course of 8 treatments is recommended over a 4 week period.

How long will the treatment take?

Treatments take between 30-60 minutes depending what area is being treated.

Which areas of the body can be treated?

Laser Lipo can be performed on most areas of the body where inch loss is desired. Popular areas include stomachs, thighs, hips, upper back fat, lower back fat, buttocks, arms, calves, knees, chests and chins.

Advantages of the cool laser treatment

  • Non-invasive
  • No injections
  • Pinpoints target treatment areas
  • No swelling, bruising or dimpling post treatment
  • Completely painless
  • No side effects (selectively radiates only fat)
  • Body contouring and reduction of cellulite
  • Pre and post surgical liposuction (decrease recovery time post liposuction)
  • Reduction of fat cells, cell regeneration, improves circulation
  • Immediate results after 1/2 hour treatment В– lose 3/4 to 1 inch

How it Works

LipoLaser paddles containing laser diodes that emit specific wavelengths of light designed to target fat cells (630 В– 680nm) are placed on the patient’В’s skin for 10-30 minutes per treatment area. Laser energy safely and painlessly penetrates several millimeters into the subcutaneous adipose or fat tissue layer. The adipose cell walls are made permeable for a temporary period allowing cell contents to spill out into the interstital space. The fat (in the of triglycerides) is converted to free fatty acids(FFAВ’s), water and glycerol.

Q. How quickly will patient ssee results?

Some patients notice results after the first or second treatment; however a standard treatment protocol consists of one, 30-minute treatment sessions max.3 times a week. Maintenance treatments can be performed at less frequent intervals once desired results are achieved.

Q. What happens during a treatment session?

Patients relax in a comfortable position while a trained technician secures two multi-laser probes and two smaller laser probes to the targeted areas.

Q. Is there discomfort associated with the treatments?

Lipolaser treatments are completely non-invasive. Patients resume their normal activities immediately after the session with no residual bruising or swelling and there is no downtime. The treatment itself is completely painless.

Q. Is LipoLaser Safe?

Yes. LipoLaser is a cold low level laser technology that has been studied for over 30 years for many biomedical purposes including wound healing, pain relief and inflammation.

Q. Who is the ideal candidate for LipoLaser treatments?

Studies have demonstrated efficacy for many different body and skin types. It is recommended that each patient is evaluated based on body type and lifestyle so that reasonable expectations may be set for LipoLaser results.
