Laser hair removal is a safe, fast and effective alternative for dealing with unwanted hair. Lasers work by emitting a specialized light which passes through the skin and is absorbed by the melanin (color) in the hair follicle. This damages the follicle and causes the hair to fall out.
We use Candela technology Gentle Yag for our laser hair removal procedures.. The GentleYAG effectively treats all skin types, including tanned skin, offering unmatched treatment capabilities in permanent hair reduction. Treat patients year-round with GentleYAG's 1064 nm wavelength, multiple spot sizes, variable pulse durations and Candela's patented cryogen cooling system (DCD™) for maximum patient comfort and safety.
How does it work?
Laser Hair Removal works by targeting the pigment located in the hair follicles. The hair follicle absorbs the laser light and then converts the light to heat. The heat damages the follicle and inactivates the cell's ability to produce hair without affecting the cells that surround it. You will see significantly less hair with each treatment, ultimately resulting in your goal of permanent hair reduction. Hair grows in 3 cycles: active, dormant, and shedding/falling out. Hair must be in an active growth stage during treatment, which is why multiple treatments are necessary to achieve desired results. You will experience safe, quick, and effective hair removal with our state-of-the-art hair removal lasers.
Can all skin colors be treated?
Not all laser machines are created equal and not all machines work on every skin type. This is especially true for clients with darker complexions. Our Candela Gentel Yag is effective on every skin type, so we can treat skin types I through VI.
Will the treatments hurt?
Candela Systems use a unique long pulse width that delivers energy to the skin over a relatively long period of time. This makes the pulses safer and more comfortable. In addition, Candela lasers feature the Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD™) to maximize comfort, ensure safety, and provide the best overall results. The Dynamic Cooling Device cools the upper layers of the skin prior to the laser burst. The result is added patient comfort and safety.
Are they any adverse reactions to treatment?
You may experience temporary redness and a mild “sunburn”- like effect that may last a couple hours.
What areas of the body can be treated?
Some of the areas that can be treated are Bikini area, Brazilian Bikini, Underarm, Legs, Arms, Back, Chest, Face, Upper Lip, Side Burns, Chin, Ears, Areol,a Abdomen, Neck, Hands, Feet, Shoulders and Buttocks.
